Interacting with students and exchanging ideas is consistently an enriching experience. I was extended an invitation to deliver a guest lecture to the ASE (Automotive Software Engineering) students at Technische Universität Chemnitz. The lecture centered around the subject of "Digital Twins in Manufacturing and Production Planning," offering insights into this innovative area. The topic encompassed the significance of advancing digital twins for sophisticated production systems and processes, illustrating how software plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless integration and enhancing overall efficiency. The presentation also delved into practical use cases, showcasing how these digital replicas contribute to improving various aspects of manufacturing and production planning.
