All About Automation (AAA), 2022

At the 2022 All About Automation (AAA) summit in Chemnitz, I delivered a presentation on the subject of "Gewinnung CAD-konvergenter Geometrien aus Scan-Daten für die virtuelle Werkstatt eines Aerospace Retrofit Prozesses" (Obtaining CAD-convergent geometries from scan data for the virtual workshop of an aerospace retrofit process).

The presentation encompassed a comprehensive solution, starting from the initial scanning of a damaged aircraft fuselage part to the seamless creation of CAM operations for its manufacturing, all within a single NX interface. The process entailed scanning the damaged part, followed by repair and reconstruction, analysis, and the generation of automatic CAM operations using Feature Based Machining (FBM). Finally, the creation of a digital twin of a robot cell in NX was demonstrated, facilitating the simulation of the entire program.
